Discover EV, one of the UK’s original and most trusted brands to drive awareness and knowledge of zero-emission vehicles, is announcing the return of its YouTube channel. After two years of focusing on growing its website as a regular news and car reviews destination for its readers, Discover EV is collaborating with the ex-creative team behind the acclaimed Fully Charged Show YouTube channel, Benjamin Bruton-Cox and Ryan Gilson to relaunch its original automotive channel.
Before joining Discover EV, Director of Production Benjamin Bruton-Cox and Senior Producer Ryan Gilson helped Fully Charged Show accumulate 1.05 million subscribers and were in charge of over 700 videos. On the new channel, they will be able to leverage Discover EV's authoritative voice in the automotive industry as well their creative and engaging approach to video. The revitalized YouTube channel will complement Discover EV's website, with its easy-to-use free classified section, independent reviews, useful features and exclusive interviews.
With online videos considered more authentic and trustworthy, and more important to consumers now than ever before, Discover EV is proud to be working with Project Green to refocus on this aspect of its brand and share high quality content that will entertain and inform. Under the guidance of editor Louise Woodhams, the revamped video strategy will offer car reviews that showcase long-form storytelling with a focus on what 'the public think' and practical uses being the main metric. Discover EV very much want to concentrate on how a car can be utilised and integrated in people’s lives rather than just drive around talking spec.
The channel relaunched last Thursday on the 2 May with the first video – a review of the Lotus Eletre – which questions whether founder Colin Chapman would be turning in his grave (https://youtu.be/u286tZtkf24), and a further two more will following in quick succession.
"Ryan and I are incredibly excited to join the Discover EV team," said Ben. "This is a trusted, authoritative brand that has always strived to help motorists understand the benefits of switching to EVs with their totally honest approach to car reviews. Powered by Project Green which specialises in YouTube content and creation, we are planning big things, editorial content specifically designed for YouTube is king and we are aiming to work with zero budget, but 100 per cent passion, in order to make the world a greener place.”
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our brand and audience,” said Discover EV founder Louise Woodhams. “Ben and Ryan have done an incredible job building up the Fully Charged Show channel over the last six years, and I’m thrilled they've joined our team. Discover EV have always focused on honest reviews, so having them onboard affords us another way to help our audience, and hopefully gain the interest of more motorists keen to get on the road to zero-emission transport. Please like our videos and subscribe to our channel today!"
Discover EV’s vision is to be the UK’s leading online destination for researching, owning, buying and selling an electrified vehicle, giving motorists the best and most complete online experience when it comes to everything EV. It is committed to working with industry experts to provide more tools and practical advice for existing and prospective drivers of electric vehicles.
